Wal-Mart Canada Corp. is closing all six Sam's Club stores it operates in Ontario and is in discussions to sell five of the stores to a major U.S. retailer.
Home improvement retailer Lowe's Cos. Inc. confirmed later that it is in discussion with Wal-Mart to take over those locations. However, no decision has been made and it had nothing to announce at this time, Lowe's spokesperson Maureen Rich said in a telephone interview.

Lowe's revenues are sinking faster than the Titanic and they can't wait to jump on this "golden opportunity." What in the hell are they thinking?

Great time to buy up those stores! Lowe's is already in the Canadian market and has logistics in place that has cost an arm and a leg. Canada is the next market followed by Mexico, Lowe's is opening stores in Mexico and need at least 25 to make the logistics pay in that country....But, with all that is being made in Mexico .....won't have to ship stuff far. And talk about SHRINK!!!!

The other way to think about it is those are stores hd now can't get...
As for mexico I've hardly seen that much made in mexico in the past ten years. Most of that went to asia in the late 90's.
