a co worker told me yesterday that they WERE letting employees use MM AND a COUPON for a day or two, then they stopped it. they had to override one.
yeh. that was cuz using the 2 were NOT ALLOWED.

that is funny. the rules change every frigging day you go in to work !!!! you never know what you are gonna be walking into !!!

I just saw the new progressive card for credit. The first FIVE applications net you macy money! Then after that, you get real money once for every three times that you get macy money! The total cash value IF you fill up the card is $30!
That stinks.

FOM, most of us (dare I say ALL) will never fill up the card! The first 5 credits that you get, you will get macy's money, not real money. Most people don't even get 5 a month, so that means that they will never see real money! Then after that, you will get macy money for the next three times, and then real money, and then macy money again for the next three times!
The old cards alternated between macy money and real money, and the real money was $5.00 if approved, $1.00 unapproved.
With mayco, you could get almost $100.00 if you filled up your card, which wasn't nearly as hard to fill.
I used to make alot of money with credit, but not anymore.

Hardly anyone in my store EVER fills up their card. We are just not that busy. It is really difficult for part timers. Plus in the summer months so many people are off for vacation. Even tho I do still try to open credit on my vacations!! Thumbs Up I am sure that soon they will stop giving real green money anyway. It will be all MM.

I know when Katy worked at Dillard's, they would have those same contests. If you didn't make your credit goals though, you were terminated. They never paid out in cash it was always in a Dillard's gift card, Wal-Mart gift card, or the manager would buy her lunch. It was honestly a joke. At some point they had a share system with Ponderosa Steak House in the mall and Ponderosa would get $x in Dillard's gift cards for their employees and vice versa.

Well at least with a gift card you don't have to spend your own money! To use macy's money, you must purchase something that is twice the amount of the macy's money.

Yeah, that's what we were saying. If you have $5.00 macy's money, then you can only use it on something that is $10.00. So....he said he had $800.00 macy's money...
