Ok people time for my 2 cents, for what it is worth! According to Lowes, not much anymore, and if you think your opinion counts there, well either your fooled easily, or you believe in fairy tales.
My comment is on the Gallup, what a joke, do you think it tells them anything, think about the questions and answers, did it really pinpoint any indiviuals?
No..... I could be talking about the Manager, and that poll can just be saying its the store of itself.
I have a new poll I would like to suggest!
Why doesn't all the DM's talk to each and every employee in their district to get the real truth, about the sugar coating before their visit, about the jobs that we are asked to do that are called upon way beyond most duties, by the way, mostly management jobs, I have been logged in under somes log on to do their work.
Ok just a crazy wracked out lowes slave on a rage here
So....... what do ya'll think?

I think the fat cats in north carolina think the gallup is going to tell them something. Unfortunately the questions have little or nothing to do with our day to day jobs. Why do they ask if we have a best friend at work, what does that have to do with anything? Last year we had groups get together over the results and come up with action plans etc. ok, apparently these groups came up with the most pressing problem had something to do with the way pink (loading) tickets were handled. HMMMMMM hands up from all those who give a rats ass about a pink ticket. thank you, thank you very much.

There should be a different set of questions, that's for sure!
Here are some questions that might give a better feel for lowes workers opinions.
1. Do you like the fact that at every chance the company has it takes something away from you?
2. Have you had a raise in the last decade?
3. Does Lowes try to retain qualified people?
4. Can management pour piss out of a boot without instructions on the bottom of the boot?
5. How many cashiers has management had sex with in the last month?
6. Is shoe size comparable to management IQ?
7. Do you think corporate has done a good job of pulling the wool over your eyes?
8. If G. O. told your store management that crap was ice cream would they have a bowl?
That's just the short list, I could go on for pages but I would'nt want to taint the results!

Hey, oldskool, speak for your own store about the cashiers having sex with management. The cashiers get screwed at the store where I just quit, but believe me, they don't enjoy one minute of it. That's why I left.
Why should I be the only cashier on my shift most of the time, with no breaks, dying of thirst, being in pain from having to go potty and listen to customers bitch at ME about the long line? Plus I got screwed outa half my vacation. Also, I got tired of watching all my friends on the floor getting screwed, trying to run half the store by themselves, and being chastised for even taking a lunch break. No sex here, just a lotta screwiness.
Yep, we oughta be able to make up a few of our OWN questions on the gallop. They'd have to close the place down.

I agree Loweslady, the Gallap poll is just a joke, it's rigged from the start. They always call us employee owners, and we should have our own poll as you say, but we know they don't want that. It want do any good for any one person to talk to anyone, but if the majority of the employees knock on their door they'll start to pay attention, getting the employees together to do that is the hard part. I still have hope that win or lose the lawsuit that it will make them see that the employees are tired of moving backwards, and we can and will fight back. The next step in the suit should come out around the end of the year.
