I object... tho the forums are not always active, some posters have moved in. The deadest forum is an Aug post, which could just mean they are working retail overtime.

IMO I say give it a full 6 months.

I would say keep 'em around for now.
Viewership seems to be increaseing.

Funny thing about the other RW. Not a lot of posts on the Sears forum. But everytime you look there are about 100 guests lurking around.

Not sure why. Everyone in my store looks at this site. ~GoodFella

In my opinion, although at a lot of times I tend to disagree with "siggy" on several issue`s. I will stand and defend his position and thought on this matter of let time be the judge and not the total of the sum.

As "siggy" has stated above, we are now beginning to see many new posters, And I would like to think that most are reading back, some before posting.

Without some of the older posts, would we not see a repeat of the same topics already discussed ?

I do feal that many of the guest`s at the other site, http://www.retailworker.com/index.php , are doing just that.

Information can only be used to learn from, when the source is available.

Just my thoughts,
Ratchet

Okay - if everyone is trying to determine what slek means, then I understand him to mean the different forums (i.e. Barnes and Nobles, Rona, Safeway, and the like) - I did not understand it to mean deleting posts (replies) or topics - if my understanding is correct, then I believe the "dead" forums could be moved to the Miscellaneous Forum - if after six months or a year with no apparent interest in a particular retailer, then I would agree; yes, delete the forums with no traffic - if footsteps lead to their door at a later time, then reintroduce that particular forum - it may be that housing unused retail forum space could contribute to a slow site - I am biased - Sears forum takes up the most contributing space - we are the most active - we have been the catalyst to introducing and informing our own coworkers, friends, and families - we have been responsible for the interest - other associates from other retailers can equally draw interest and memberships (if they desire) - so here is my feeble input - I like speed - at work it is point, click, and wait, and wait, wait some more - I have cable here at home - even that does not guarantee me speedy access when the site itself is slow

Sorry I misunderstood Ratchet's comments. I'm in the middle of selling my online assets, so once that's done I'll be able to concentrate more on this place. The fun is just beginning anyhow, since my friend just launched a federal complaint against the company.
