bush's sincerety was never a question...he is very sincere in what he does, because he is a bible toting conservative...he honestly believes that what he is doing is right.

take a cult for example...david koresh was very sincere in what he was doing...he thought he was jesus...he LOVED what he was doing...he was also a frickin' whacko

Bush is a frickin' idiot and will always be...he is not qualified to run this country...a trained zoo mokey could do better...he is running this country into the ground...he needs to be exiled to elba.

Just keep underestimating him!!!!!! Please do! Just the the Dems did in the '02 midterms!!! Now that was an ass kicking to be remembered!

Does anybody care about the mass graves we are finding everyday in Iraq?? Oh Saddam was such a nice guy! It is easy for the elitists to sit from on high and say that the war was fought for the wrong reasons.....for the millions of Iraqis that no longer have to live in mortal terror no one can tell me they want Saddam back. Can anybody deny he harbored terrorists???? We have found many terror camps.....and many terrorists.....does that matter????? The simple fact is that the Bush and US haters will never say the war did any good. So why even discuss it?

GF, if you werent my friend I would laugh at that!!! LOL...let me try a theory on you. Hillery Clinton will run for president sometime...she promised not to run before her term as senator runs out......if a Dem wins it will be difficult for her to run in '08 against a Dem President. SO she and other Clintonites want Bush to win in '04 so she can run in '08!! Since the Clintons are the most selfish power hungry dirtbags in the world, I find this theory completely believable...what do you think???

WOW, BG.
Most of us dems are not that big a fan of Mrs.Clinton. But we loved Bill.
This whole bad advice thing about Irag will do him no good.
The fact we will still be there at election time will not be good.
But bottom line the economy thing will kill him. Just like his old man.
We shall see.
And BTW like you I never disrecpet anyone about there views on this.
I only disrepect the people that don't have any views or don't care about this stuff. ~GoodFella

Untill yesterday that might have been the spin.
But after the news on all the phony CIA stuff.......and we might have gone to war for not the reason we said.
Big change for 2004 now I think.

Bodyguard, you really need to qualify statements like this. A simple link to a news story (or some other credible source), with background information related to your statements, would demonstrate that your comments are more than government issued rhetoric.

I've been following this thread, and I was determined not to post, but we see how that turned out don't we? Very Happy

IMHO, this war has done more to alienate the working people than anything I've seen since civil rights, which split the American working people to the extremes at times!

I find this exercise in destruction makes it very difficult for the citizens to recongnize who are the real winners and who are the real losers! I can't help but believe this is an acceleration of the two class system of "haves" v. "have-nots"! To simplify my decisions (which isn't too difficult for a simple mind such as mine),I take note of who is benefiting and who is suffering, and make my decision about who to support from those conclusions. (Hint): I always pull for the working people! Wink

Here are some viewpoints on the winners and losers....Yeah, some of you will say they are biased opinions, which they are, but this is what debates and discussions are all about!

You are correct Slek, I should have put some links to the news articles I had read that stuff on. I started to look for them and post some other thoughts and editorials on the subjects then I stopped. I have been spending far to much emotional energy on these political threads. I was aware of the political leanings of the administrators and moderators on this site before I posted a thing. There is no changing your minds or of your changing mine. I really am thankfull for you guys setting up this site and dont want to seem ungratefull for it. So I will surrender gracefully on these threads (well except for the Coke thing I hate Pepsi Very Happy ). Thanks again for working hard and keeping us under control and all together!

BG, don't worry about seeming ungrateful! Your opinion is no less important than any other participant here IMO! Debate and discussion helps educate all of us. Looking at both sides, hopefully we can find that common ground which we can use to make this ol' world a much better and more just place to live!

Oh Yeah, I hate Pepsi too! Ahhh.....Common Ground! Very Happy

it is a good thing to see some fellow republicans like myself on here. I must say though that i to am for letting the economy )to an extent) run on its own and the less government intervention the better. But i must say that i am ashamed of our president for what he has done. Before we went to war with iraq we as Americans had developed a new doctrine. No longer would me merely focus on containment of our enemies but we would impose a new "pre-emptive" strike policy that would set the tone for our future war doctrine and how we dealt with the world. We now say that we have the right to strike a country before it ever strikes us based on suspicion or intelligence from the front line. That is completely absurd. We cannot go around bullying everyone as we see fit. Trust me as they say "what comes around goes around" and the american empire just like any other empire (yes we are very imperialistic and i will shed some light on that later) will eventually fall as is proven by history. We must learn to turn our enemies into friends and not strike them before they have not done anything.

Some of you may know this but remember a movie that came out oh about a year ago called "black hawk down" which was based on a true story of events of how a helicopter was shot down over somalia when we went over there. Many people at the time thought we where there to help those people when infact we were there to help ourselves. During that time there was civil wars going on and it was affecting american businesses over there (namely gas companies) and the buisnesses put pressure on our president at the time to do something about it. So we did, but we couldnt tell people we were using millitary force in the best intrest of american businesses, that wouldnt sound so good. So we gave it a new spin and trying to help those people as we presented to the world. It wasnt untill after we did our dirty deed that it was discovered and publisized of our true intentions over there. I am not sayin the millitary action taken was wrong or right but lying and devieving Americans was the wrong thing. Also with our supposed "war on iraq" which bush claimed to have said that they possesed weapons of mass destruction which by the way has failed to come true. We are over there for the oil and to have a future in iraqs economy and the power we would wield by having a say in the oil cartel known as OPEC.

It's funny you know we said to the people of iraq that we were liberators for them. 50 years ago the british said the same thing to them and ran there country just like we did. What happened 50 years ago? the british were finally kicked out after being there for so long by the iraqi people. You cannot simply force democracy on these people. But it doesnt matter i guess because we are over there running the show and trying to impose our American will and might. We want there oil and we want a say in future negotions with Opec and what better place to do it then Iraq which has the second largest oil reserves with only Soudi Arabia possesing more. We are not very liked in many other countries and i have begun to see why over the years, cause we are imperialistic and are no better then what other Empires have done before us. I believe that some things like "World war 2" we had good intentions but after the war ended there we have not done the greatest things. I am proud to be an American and i love my country enough to speak out and change things. The world is getting to small for only one country to have a say we need to all work together if we are going to continue to strive in the world.

Well bodyguard i really hope we can get along. I am sorry that you feel that i am someone else ( i am truly not that person). If you like during the school year when i go back i can call say your cellphone from where i am at in southern california and you can use your caller id to verify where i am from. that might be a good solution to prove that i am not the person you say i am right ??? I hope we can work as a team and all be friends. If you do not believe in the things i post i understand but debate with me i want your insight and thoughts. Maybe we can learn something from eachother. You being with the company for so long sees things in a differtnt pair of eyes then i do being there for only 4 years. If we work together i think we can acheive great things. So how about it?

BG,

Seeing as you saw fit to edit my edit, I'll repost it here:

Read the PG BG. Specifically #3 Avoid personal attacks.

*****************

In the future BG, instead of resorting to ad hominem attacks (a tactic very low on my tolerance scale), I suggest you try to dispute claims you disagree with. If you're incapable of disputing the claims I'd recommend that you avoid posting in the topic at all.

Understood?

Your behavior is this thread is unacceptable. I suggest you edit your last post and check your arrogance at the door.
