Cabinetman,
Been working my butt off just like the rest. At our store things have backed off just a touch but I think they are just regrouping to throw a whole new bucket of shit at us. I heard that the new gallup pole is about to be brought online, so I'm sure the calm before the storm is part of the reasoning for let-up! Seems to me they are coming out earlier than usual this year. Probably want to get us before they start whipping us like old race horses for the spring onslaught. Well once again I'll have to answer that question everyday, "did you take the gallup pole yet?" You bet I did, just like you don't have any idea if I did or not(so why do you ask me 4 times a week after I've told you I have?)! Anyhow nice talking at you cabinetman, later! Oldskool...... |

Hi guys, I've too have noticed the absenteeism of employees on this site. Maybe there's nothing more to vent at Lowes. Or they're just fed up that Lowes won't take care of the problems that the company has. By the way, Oldskool if you take the gallup poll get a sign that says I took the gallop poll today are you happy now, GOOD. By the way guys a friend of mine retired at lowes and he wrote a note to Lowes and it's on the back page of Lowedown and in it he said something about workin with professionals Yes we work our butts off at Lowes but they don't notice it at all . his initials are J.C. and he is missed. But the store # is not the one where he last worked. You all take care and I'll see you soon.

I guess it may be like my store, we can either stock, unload trucks, clean the store or help the customers, we don't have enough employees working right now to do it all. It's not that we don't have the customers, we just don't have the people in place to take care of them. I wonder how much money Lowe's loses everyday from the customers that walk out because there's no one there to help them. They try to predict when customers will shop and thats when they have coverage, that is so stupid, if anyone could predict that they could win the lotto every week. It's like the e-mails I get sometimes, ( send me $20 and I'll send you the winning lottery numbers) why don't they ever win? 
Lowe's does waste alot of money that could be put to other use. These no interest for so many months, we get the signs put them up for a few days and then dump them, can you imagine how much money this cost nation wide, every employee could get a good raise out of that. Why can't those smart people up there come up with a sign that could be re-used, just change the date? The old Gallup Poll or the big waste of time, which ever you like to call it, I don't think we'll ever see the true results of this poll, they pick & choose what parts they want to. The Home Office I guess thinks we're all called together at store level and told the results, but I haven't heard any results from the poll in three years, and if anyone believes they don't know who you are when you take the poll, think again. They say we have different pin numbers so no one will take it more than one time, thats like saying that when we use our discount card they don't know who we are, Right. 
I believe from all the e-mails at work so for and the grape vine we're in for alot of changes this year. I think the hours will continue to be cut, and the employees that are there will be asked to produce more when they're already past the limit. I don't look for many new hires. We'll once again be called in for our yearly reviews and hear the same thing, (we wish we could give you a bigger raise but it's not there) all the while we read about the record profits that we made for the Company, and then we read later about all the big bonuses from Management on up.

Cabinetman, you need to pack your bags and head to G.O. I don't think they see what we see in this company.I guess if you have some degree from some community college they'll hire you. You get your own desk but in some point and time you got to come up with some stupid idea just to keep your job. Yep G.O. is the place to work.And if the poll is such a big thing,why is the life at the store still the same. I haven't noticed any changes since the last poll we took. It's the same ole crap different day.You all have a good one .

| I think everyone is out fighting the big fight for the future of our country. It's an election year and everyone is gathering ammo for the upcoming election. Personally, I have found a new dating site that allows me to communicate freely with other members.
