Well i have some more good news for you guys from my anon source. This time it is regarding what your targeted earnings. For people in appliances they want people to make between 13.97 an hour to 18.62 dollars an hour. In reality nationwide people average between 11.83 and 20.51 dollars per hour nationwide. For people in electronics the targeted earnings is 11.51 per hour to 18.62 dollars per hour. The national average is 11.05 to 17.01.

I know that some of you already probably know this and might be seen as common knowledge but for those of you who dont know i thought this might be usefull to the people that dont know. If this is posted on sears intranet then by all means go for it and look it up, but personally when i am at work and am on the sales floor i cannot afford to waste my time and look this stuff up all day ( i need to actually sale something to make a living Smile And i always thought with commison "the sky is the limit" I guess the sky in the world of sears is below 20 dollars. Have a great day everyone and i hope you had a good sunday. For those who go to church pray for straight A's for my last year in college Smile

Knowledge is power, who do you want to have the knowledge?

SM, your info is bogus. No info on system as to actuals for the company unless your 'anon source' is Hoffman.

BC and HI folks....ask your asm to print targeted earnings off of the intranet for you...it's not secret stuff.

In BC is is based on total BC volumn.

The targeted earnings document does exist on the intranet and it does list both targeted earnings and current national average earnings. If you compare both target and actual, they are not that far apart...so in theory not much should change for BC commission associates. The reality is that managers will be pressed into the "staffed to standard" scheduling which will affect commission associates in a couple of different ways.

#1 More sales associates on salesfloor during prime hours...so even if the projected 10% sales increase happens more people will be there to split the pie. Net Loss of commission dollars.

#2 Seems as if the days of the 40 hour workweek will be a thing of the past. Fewer hours per week times fewer dollars per hour equals less money on the paycheck.

Now the hard part to figure out is why would the company purposely try to bring down the earnings of its associates when those earnings are driven exclusively by sales. When looking at the high dollar per hour sales associates, it seems as if they are also at or near standard in credit and PA's. So not only are the associates making money, but the company is making money from their performance as well. Maybe someone can explain the motivation for this to me.

Well that is a good thing if this info is on the intranet, by all means everyone (for those who have the time to look) look it up educate yourselves be independent. Sears doesn't want that because then you can think for your own. I am sorry for those who think my info is bogus its okay i understand i would probably feel the same way but we are a team here i am just trying to help thats all. Well have a good day everyone good luck tommorow in sales. I have to be at work 9 oclock sharp (i hate waking up early i need my beauty sleep).

The targeted hourly earnings is on the intranet, it is in the operations area. Your targeted earnings are based on your stores volumn, and their are 4 volumn catagories. It also shows what your sales per hour goals are,.

This is very true, bodyguard just because you do not work in a store where they have flooded it. Fine the majority of us do. My manager is once again in interviews everyday. Because our mitt pay is way to high for the targeted earnings this will happen to you to. Or it could be that you are left alone because you are in a stand alone store who knows

What about the differences in cost of living by region. I worked in central new jersey where the cost of living is very high. I could earn $10,000 a year less here in greenville, north carolina and have the same standard of living. Are targets adjusted by regional cost of living?? How about it CCC's...

Doh!

Who said I am in a free standing store? I have been way above my targeted earnings for many years now. All the best of us are. My manager says we are at staffing standard in my department based on our volume. Oh, BTW did you re read that document?

Spiffy - you must click okay on the first screen that gives you a disclaimer or rules of the road - then sign in with screenname and password on the second screen - on the 3rd screen you will see an intranet icon along with other icons- click and you are there

first you will have to type "help2me" in both screenname and password - it will then guide you through to obtain your screenname and will give you a new password - when that is done - you will have to again enter your screenname and new password - then you either click on intranet icon or SSG - this I am unsure, because they again have changed the program - but I do know it is no longer VLM - once again you will have to type in screenname and password - on the next screen you will either see time station or time editor - here again they have changed the program - but you will eventually reach a screen asking for you SS # and possibly your store # - so I guess you will have to wait for a well versed member to guide you through or wait, and wait, and wait until HR, Lead, ASM have the 1st opportunity to walk you through it - instead of waiting, try "hit-n-miss" until you "hit-n-get" - they really want us on this computer - that's why it is so user friendly (this is my attempt at an sarcasm)
