I just have to vent....did anyone just get there evaluation??? well I did...and the raise was rather insulting....on the bright side guess I can now afford popcorn if I go to the movies...so I was told raises are now based on volume...I just left a high volume store and went and opened a brand new store thats not doing alot yet...therefore the person I trainned to run my old store now makes more that me....that person has been with the company 4 months, I have worked for DG 4 years...a year ago I was told I had to score good on the audit(i.e. no grass in my crack)  is there anyone else out there who got rooked???

Two assistant managers I've trained up to the point they got promoted got paid right off the bat more than I do after 3 years. My pay increase this year was a measly $23 despite increasing my store volume by 30% both last year and the year before AND decreasing shrink to the point it's almost non-existent.
Now they want me to work off the clock to help set up new stores, and help train new managers? What the hell is the DM's job if he doesn't train the new managers? Oh, that's right, he didn't train me, either, I had to sink or swim all on my own. |

| i certainly know that feeling, i too, got a raise, ha, ha, it IS an insult!! and what ever happen to promoting from within, everyone around here, has walked in off the street, and took up the title of manager, and most have all ready started talking about walking out!!! they must have painted them all with a pretty picture, and now they are getting the real one!! | |
