Hello everyone this is a new accoun for me. My old one was Janelle McCoy. Just when things could not get even worse at DG. Back in Jan I got robbed at gun point. Both the manager and district manager quit two days after the robbery.
I went on medical leave and then caught the flu.
My fifth manager who I was told later that she won't be he manager. Told me I had to get a Doctor's excuse to kept from unloading the truck on Tuesday. I told her I wasn't hirered in to unload the truck. But I was hired to Cash and Stock.
She told me no one was excused from unloading the truck. And she then told me she wouldn't put me back on the schedule. Until I got a Doctor's excuse from the unloading. I told her he Doctor I was going to didn't put me on disability. And he probably would make me go to the Social Security office. And then you know the trouble they make you go though.
She told me then they could only kept me off the scedule for 14 days. Then the computer takes me off automatic. Then I looked at her and said "guess I have 14 days". But then she said' "Maybe".
I feel like this was her way of getting rid of me. Why wait after five months of employement to make me get a Doctors excuse.
When the lady who hired me should have told me then. She also told me she probably would not have hired me. Because of all my limitations. Gee ... kick me down more.
So I am glad I am out of Dollar They never got me counseling for the robbery and now this.
Has anyone else been let go like this? I think it is crazy for them to do this people.

Have you considered reporting her to the national labour board AND to the higher ups at DG.

It may or may not help you but - reporting and documenting abusive workplaces could eventually come back to haunt the employer. After you leave she (et al) will keep using and abusing her *position* and other workers until someone speaks up - loudly!.
