| I read in another companies forum that employees that were due an increase no matter what the score on their performance on a scale of 1 to 5 like ours, were all being dropped to a 3. I find this kind of interesting because I've heard the same thing happening at my Lowe's store as well as other retail companies. The ones that did get a 4 or higher didn't get raises because they were told they were capped out, they got a higher score but it didn't hurt the payroll, because they got no increase. It seems like all the retail companies are working on the same page with this. What do you think ? Whats the word in your stores ? What happened to the days when if over a 3.5 it would be rounded off to the next highest number ? | |

| I think you are talking about a review. I have only seen 2 review scores in the 5 years I have been there. I recieved a wopping 5cents raise when I became assistant department manager. Then when I became a specialist I did get a healthy raise of almost $1.50. I went 2 years with no review, at least I was not sat down for a review, no raises. Then I got a .23 raise last year. My review is due in June, we'll see. The thing I hate is when you start you are told you will get a review on your anniversary date. They don't tell you if you switch positions your review date will change. My anniversary date is in the fall. I just found out my anniversary date 6 weeks ago, it is in the middle of summer. Now that date may change because the manager gave me the job of doing IRP's every morning, I don't know if this is a different classification, if it is my anniversary date will be pushed now to February. | |

I haven't had a review in 2 years. So I only go .20 each time.

don't know about you guys, but I have never been told I am even near a cap, makes me wonder when I will cap out. And I ain't gonna lie to ya, I have had 2 raises a year since I have been with Lowes, except this year I will only get 1  , cos we still have the same manager. Always went to the new manager and ask for a raise when they first come in, and got it.
But let me tell you, I doubt that I make as much as most of ya'll cos we are in a low volume store, I am just getting happy with what I make now and happy for any raise now....lol I have to say I have been one of the lucky ones, but I also know I can be terminated tomorrow. So I take everyday like it can be my last day at Lowes, and still try to do the best I can. Actually, I think its all how you network in LowesLand. |

| Absolutely right, got to network. Be suzie sunshine, and they will be happier with you. I have my days, and everyone knows it. Can't hide it in my expression. I am usually a happy person, and try to be upbeat. But stress shows in my face like a neon sign. | |

OMG classy! Are we looking in the same mirror? I would feel a lil better if everybody would stop asking me if I am alright....lol
Something about my eyes, they say are you sick? Is the stress finally getting to me? I didn't think so till everybody started comitting on me Hell, I know what it is... I need a vacation! I keep counting the days. But ya know, theres days I dread coming into work, but I would really miss my job and my friends, like you say good days and bad days. Let me tell ya, I was not in the Irish Mood today, I did not wear Green, everytime somebody ask me if I had green on today I would say no, but I can make you wear Red Today! But, low and behold, a guy friend didn't care and pinched my arm, I went to chasing him, and had to laugh..... made my day better!

| The new girl for pricing will start around the 5th of April, then I can stop this awfull job. I hope she is a quick learner. I will be with her for about a week and then this Irish girl is going to Ireland. So I have light at the end of the tunnel as my boss told me. It is the only thing keeping me from pulling my hair out. | |
