I guess that would depend on your experience with Sears.

What department are you going to be in?

div 46, is the pay going to be as good as selling the appliances at sears? Hope you like your new job. We have an associate looking for one, (in appliances, so he is keeping us informed about other selling jobs, ie, furniture, ins., appliances at other stores.) He wants to move to another state, no transfers for fta. right now.

I retired from Sears last October. I was a commission sales associate in 700-7. I am now selling appliances in a new HD. Took a cut in pay, but money isn't everything. I work part time and really enjoy working at the HD. It is gratifying to win many customers from Sears. A current appliances sales associate is leaving Sears to work in the appliance department of this HD. While selling at Sears, a customer came to her and wanted to buy a 991 range on the floor. She immediately rang him up with a 3yr MA. She was called into the store manager's office and written up(ppi) for not filling out a tear sheet. The manager was watching her on camera in the LP office. Later that week, she left her 'blue book' on the floor while she went to the restroom. She got written up for leaving her
blue book' on the floor. While at Sears, the associates need to keep their 'blue books' with them at all times. It is things like this, that made my move to the HD such a good move. Sears is losing many experienced associates to the HD and Lowe's. In other words, you made a good career move. Smile
