Hello I need some advice! I currently work at Sears although I like Sears I have a mentally disturbed compulsive liar for a boss. I need to get away from him! So I would like to apply at Lowes.
1. How is it to work for Lowes?
2. How much do they pay
3. When and how do you get insurance?
4. If you stop to talk for 1 minute do they jump down you're throat?
5. How are the managers?
6. What jobs do they have where you don't deal with customers?
7. How does there interview process work I.E. 1 interview 2 etc?
8. Has anyody switched from Sears to Lowes? Is it much better?
9.Anything else you can tell me about working at Lowes?

1.) No better or worse than any other retail job.
2.) Pay is based on what the market will bear and what you are willing to accept.
3.) I believe you can sign up for insurance right away
4.) No they won't jump on you right away.
5.) undertrained, microphone trained, left hand has no clue what the right hand is doing. That type of management.
6.) RECEIVING. Night Stock
7.) I believe 3 interviews (drug screen and background check fall in there somewhere)
8.) No clue. I came from anther box that went out of business.
9.) 2 weeks vacation after the 1st year. 3 weeks after the 5th year. Medical/Dental/Eyeware. 401k and ESOP (Employee Stock Option Plan). 10% discount on stock items. 10% above cost on Special Order Items. 2 weeks a year (near Christmas) 20% off stock merchandise. CLOSED THANKSGIVING and CHRISTMAS.
