Lowes sucks lowes sucks lowes sucks. If you are interested in working for this company dont. If really need the money, its not a bad place to be until you get the real deal. Im here just to buy diapers and daycare. Just the extra change. What I have to keep in mind is that this is just a p/t gig and I can live w/o it. But, it still pisses you off when you go to a place and they treat you like crap. If you are sick and need to go home, instead of saying someting like "I hope you feel better we'll see you tommorrow." They ask you what is wrong w/ you. Like they are Dr's and not hardware stor managers. Its funny. But, they sure as hell will ask you to work more hours. Or they tell your team leader to give you some guidance on how to flat stack lumber. When the store mgr is so stupid that they have people on the sch. that dont even work for the company anymore. They have people that have transfered to N.C. closing our lumber dept and were in Anaheim #1030. They are jackasses..

well your allowed to vent and this is what this forum is for but for the sakes of people who need to work (Like people in Michigan who would jump at the chance to work) why don't you leave this pathetic company and prey FEDEX will give you a raise so you don't have to work part time. We really don't need you and to prove it, we cut PT hours to 9 or 10 during the winter so we kind of got used to not having people. Personally with your attitude, you wouldn't last long with me in Lumber. I'm just one of those bitchy Team Leaders who wants things done and I wanted it done yesterday.

Wow. This sounds like Home Depot board. Wanna laugh? Go to orangebloodbank.com and see the candy coated walls. Those people smoke some real heavy shit there! They delete all the bad posts (lord knows i've posted them) and pull this Barney in Telletubbie land crap. I think my ass should go get a degree in something and work somewhere where i don't have to deal with the public.

Well I started at Lowes back in 1998 as a loader for Appliances and now am currently the Dept Mgr over Electrical for the last 3 years. It's all about what you make of it, and NO I didn't move up by kissing butt, I went through 18 interviews before I finally got a DM job.
My motto is "Git R Done!!!"
