An executive for insurance company AIG who is under investigation for several things gave his wife over 41 million shares of his stock for a value over 2 billion at time of story. This executive has taken the 5th several times during hearings on his/his company's doings.Seems to be afraid of potential lawsuits;more than likely would take place after this fiasco costs stock holders, employees or even rate payers alot of $$$.Why is he trying to make his money harder to get at-does he know the outcome or the results of his actions he is not talking about.Next time you pay an INSURANCE bill just think about him & then buy extra medical insurance for the heart attack you will surely have. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7480911/ .Again how is an executive even worth this much???.

Ask yourself how many common folks have died or are deathly ill because they couldn't/can't afford health insurance on an individual basis and the cost of group insurance has risen beyond, if not the capability at least the desire, of the corporation they work for to provide?
You can complain all you want about the rising cost of health care but bastards like this play just as big a role, if not bigger, in every one of those deaths and illnesses and still, everybody but one state AG looks the other way. Flipping disgusting.

I've been reading a lot of commentary, both in the media and on internet forums that would indicate that, anong the old boy network at the top of all things in the country, after a certain point its no longer the money but of getting away with more than the next guy.
For example, one of the first times I ever heard about Eddie Lampert, the article stated that he was attempting to out-Buffet Buffet. Warren Buffet is pretty much recognized as the shrewdest investor/hedgeund operator/holding company guru around and Lampert simply wants to take away that title and is willing to do anything to get there.
This exec certainly doesn't NEED that money and I seriously doubt that he's interested in anything he could buy with it. It's simply getting away with it and getting away with something that his cronies were probably afraid to try because they knew it sucked enough to attract attention.

Good observation.Does this mean ego or low self esteem?.So some exec had a dysfunctional childhood were supposed right it off as something like ego?.I've always heard comments that people with a Bill Gates childhood wind up being todays execs & millionares.

I'm sure they wind up feeling perfectly justified in doing what they do whatever Dr. Phil would attribute it to. As long as they can justify it to themselves they really couldn't care less what anyone else thinks.
I would go with the "getting even" theory I think and that could go to low self esteem OR ego. The thing that worries me most is the number of people who are in the same position as you and me yet who feel these people are justified in whatever they do. It's like they're striking some kind of a blow for geeks everywhere.
