Hi, new Guest Service Team lead for Target, brand new store opening up. Moving from another struggling retailer. What can I expect from Target. ARe they a good store to work for. Anything is better than my former company(Sears), lots of opportunity for a college graduate, I was told, especially becoming a ETL. How quickly do GSTL's move up to ETL, I was told 6 months with education and experience. I was explained briefly the position of guest service team lead, what do we do on an average day. I know that we supervise the cash registers and service desk and cart attendants but what overall do we do besides that. Serve staff duty? Open and close store? The human resource executive was saying in a few months I could become key carrier, extra money, what do they do. Any info would help. Brand new store is exciting to me, lots of learning for a college graduate, but how is it at Target overall, everyone seems very positive which is a huge plus for me and I like. Would like some information from other team leaders out there.
