Just got back from my first day at albertsons
I am going to be working in the lobby (renting videos, doing money orders, returns, lottery, smokes, candy, etc)
I have never worked retail and stood there today in uniform trying to learn from an employee trying to keep up with customers. Needless to say, I learned hardly anything from a veteran employee at great speed and at only a measly 1/2 hour
I am scheduled to work tomorrow as well and am still clueless how to do my job.
Is this typical procedure of most retail outlets?
Has anyone worked in an albertsons in the same position and would be able to give me some advice on how to approach the training? I would really like to hit the ground running so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
