Security is one thing but fines for someone who forgot to not pack personal hygene items(needed for your person health security) is another. We are creating paperwork & criminal records of someone who forgot something like nail clippers.1) How far do we take 'security' measures without totally contradicting the very freedoms and rights we are alledgedly securing and 2) Isn't there a non-administrative alternative to fining someone like confiscating it or allowing someone to check it into checked luggage-They could even generate revenue by having some sort of check in system for these banned items like lets say charging a dollar or too to check those nail clippers, razors or pocket knives in a envelope to be collected upon arrival. But to give someone a 'criminal record' for nail clippers and then give more un-necessary data for intelligence officials to go through while the real bad guys could slip throught in a mountian of paperwork.Yeah if you forget to unpack your semi automatic-which is an actual weapon-eh but nail clippers.Lock down is a prison is probably a very secure situation but is this how secure we want it. http://www.fun-hawaii.com/Notes/Air/banneditems.htm

But the same kind of people who run the major corporations fort their personal benefit and ego feeding power trips are also now in charge of home security. Don't tell me you were expecting common sense and a reasonable degree of judgement from these new bureaucrats.

Keep It Simple Stupid is my motto.Do things like secure cockpit doors, increase screening but do it on lesser scale meaning less paperwork. The airline industry was and is already dying & to burden workers and fliers with all of this crap is ridiculous.I heard they can't even keep up with all the intel so just keep things as physically safe with occassional full scale searches. The whole problem is from problems like the old INS not tossing the 911 guys with their EXPIRED student visas. All they had to do was expel or deport them and if you have to do it several times a year than so be it but to literally make a federal case out of everything?.
