So what really did happen to RW.com Was the site a victim of Six Sigma....have the big corporate retailers finally found a way to silence the front line troops....Seems to me that the site died right around the time that Sears held the BIG MEETING....Anyone out there see an attempt to squelch the site so that we have absolutely no input into our jobs (except for the company controlled assoociate help line).....

No corporate attacks, no secret backroom exchange of monies buying someone off, just a case of burnout. The individual running the sites had built a remarkable network of folks who were interested in having the sites be a variety of things. His efforts, given the time, money and resources available, were beyond anything that has been done to date.
It took it's toll, and he took his leave. Much has been speculated about why and how, but the simple truth is, we all wouldn't be here today doing what we are doing without the effort, commitment and vision of retailworker. I didn't like the way it went down, but who am i to be critical of someone who spent years of his life making it all possible. I'll rip him after i have walked a mile in his shoes, till then, i'll leave that to others.

I should add - there's a possibility that the old site may be revived at some point in the next couple of months by someone other than the original creator/owner. I tried to work out some kind of "collaboration" arrangement between some of the principles of the MFD, and some of the other people interested in reviving the original RW (mainly, the Industrial Workers of the World), but I was unsuccessful.
