I have recently graduated from college and I need a job. I was thinking I might apply at Lowes for entry level manager, but I don't know much about hardware. I have worked at Meijer (think Wal-Mart, but not as evil) for the last five years, last three being seasonal work. I think I am well qualified for an entry management job in retail, especially since my Major is Business management. Problem is, I am not a handy man. I helpful, nice, can deal with rude customers, but I'm scared to death a guest is going to ask me something along the lines of, "I got a widget that takes a 4 inch wazzit. Can I jimmywho the bits together with a wacker?". I get that all the time at where I work. Luckily, I can get away with telling them (indirectly) that I am just a stock clerk.
Honestly, should I not apply? I don't want to waste my time or the time of other people.

Go ahead and apply, but be sure retail is what you want. With a college degree there is a lot more potential out there. Lowes is a great company, but the hours will kill you, some management is basically incompentant and you will probably have to move around a lot to get promoted.
