I'm writing from Texas and I go in for my final interview and discuss salary options. I am new to the retail industry and to Lowe's. I have many years of managment experience. It is a new store openning up and I will be a DM. My questions are, how do they pay? I understand that it is salary but calculated hourly. Should I go in there with an hourly figure set in my mind or an annual salary? Also I believe that it said on the paperwork that there is either an option of straight salary or salary with bonus. Does DM usually get bonuses and how frequently and on about what amount. I was looking on the Department of labor web site and for 2004 stats, the mean salary for a first line supervisor in a building material retail store in this area was $39,220.00. I was wondering if that sounded about right or if a should try and negotiate for more. I was think around $42,000.00. Because of figuring in for taxes and that great soc security. I am basically wondering what kind of arsenal I need to walk in there with to negotiate.
Thank you
