It's an even sadder day when a company provides not low prices... at least those provide some benefit to the consumers... but only more money to pour into already bulging hedgehog pockets by exploiting their workers and {possibly} even the law.

People need to wake up and realize that as bad as WalMart is and can be, there are others out there who are taking the WalMart model even farther, our own Eddie Lampert being one of the most glaring examples. Here's a man that would think nothing of starving you to death so he could pick nickels off your dead body.

DR - and you don't think Sears HR doesn't access SSG and 'alter/create/change' punches?

I know that there are managers out there change the times for their "pets" every chance they get. If their "pet" is late, change the time to show they were on time. If they call in, they will say they had the day schediled off. Seen it done myself. Mad

Sort of off-topic but, if you have the opportunity, check out the film WAL-MART: The High Cost of Low Price. It should be available for rental almost anywhere and there are public screenings being held all over the place.

I've been meaning to try to find it but I don't get out a whole lot. First time I do though, I intend to look for it.

I think several prints of the film are making a slow tour around North America; you can find playing dates and cities on this link:

http://www.walmartmovie.com/find.php

Hope that helps. Smile

I still see people who when late still have a missed punch form filled out and some OMs who never spent more than 45 minutes on overtime and yet leads and ASMs are working in jeans and sweat shirt a 6th and 7th day.I've also been allowed to stay when I thought for sure I would be sent home early... .But do I don't think management has altered punches at Sears Naughty! Naughty! Naughty!

Very true. You can be a full timer working at SHLD and actually be making minimum wage. Doesn't matter how long you've worked there.
