Very confusing and frustrating when they come in on different occassions and see "while quantities last" one day and set dates the next."While Quantities Last" is showing up on REGULAR merchandise signing and is actually very deceiving because now one thinks the item will be sold out or discontinued.

The prices on while quantities last items also go up as well as down. An item can be twenty dollars more this week than last week and still be labeled while quantities last, even though it was while quantities last for weeks already, at a lower price.

How long should a tear sheet last if written from a sign that says while quantities last. What should be placed under promotion dates-just like the "return policy" with a "reasonable" period of time?...-just as ambiguous as usual.

When we had our big meeting June 22nd, Laura May (she is director of ISM or something like that, I think) was there and sat in on the ISM meeting. She said they are working to get rid of WQL's, so hopefully we will see results sooner than later.

In my dept we have been getting WQL since the beginning of the season...... and on some mowers we new which ones would be hold overs thru the winter, so the signing makes no sense, and when a customer asks "why are quantities limited?, the season just started" I have to say honestly....I don't know

[color=blue]signing isn't perfect. as a sales associate, i figure it's MY responsibility to know what is or is not on closeout. we too got several signs with .99 prices saying WQL. obviously, WQL prices have a .88 price. grab the signing people and tell them the sign is wrong, they'll fix it. use some white out and take that phrase off.
