When I read your post I couldn't help but to laugh!! Sorry to tell you that you are walking into the same situation but you'll be wearing orange instead of blue. Every reason you gave for leaving Lowes are the same reasons I left HD!! Speaking of broken promises..thats HD's specialty!! And don't dare bring up broken promises at the store meetings, I did that and I was taken to the side and asked why I did that...Well isn't that what our meetings are for?? they asked if anyone had anything else they wanted to discuss, so I spoke up and I got a lecture on how I should have went to a MOD to talk about it..I did but it got me nowhere..needless to say..the promises were not fullfilled when I left. Good Luck..I hope things work out better for you than they did for me. and by the way, whatever you do just make sure you "C.Y.A."!!!!

Very Happy the grass isnt always greener.. but i like my job..
the night crew at my store is fabulous, but i heard some other stores have bad moral on nights. they work monday to friday, and at all stores you get that shift premium (do you get that at lowes?)
seasonal isnt one of my favorite departments. I dont like moving the bricks and stuff.. but if you are a loader and dont mind the physical end of it, a lot of people like seasonal. (But its crazy through out the summer)
I'm from Canada, so i'm not sure what the pay scale is where you are...
I have been with them for 6 years, and plan to be here for awhile longer. hope this helps

Good choice in that area man.. Im also a loader at lowes and im highly disapointed in them.. the Home Depot is a very good choice and as far as the night crew i would go for it and would not say a thing about it to lowes.
