OK. . .I apologize for these "soap-boxes", but you have to realize this is the first environment wherein I have been able to freely ( I hope ! ) express my frustrations with the corporation.
I have hated B.S. from the time I exited the womb, ok?
I hate the way everything has to be "perfect." When asked how your dept. is, it's, of course, supposed to be perfect. . .always. If you are a DH ( or DS if you prefer the newer term ) you know what I mean. In all of the paperwork, there is no provision for anything other than absolutely 100% compliant, etc. Of course, in real life, what this means is you lie. You have to, because everything can't be perfect all the time.
It seems to me that the management of HD all the way up the line exists in an Alice-through-the-looking-glass fantasy world. They don't want to hear or see the way it really is. . .they want to be told and to tell their superiors that everything is absolutely perfect and "grand-opening ready" all the time. It's a rather frightening game of self and mutual delusion, not unlike Enron.
