How would you feel about avatars in user profiles only?
This way it doesn't clutter up the topic pages but you can still have an image to represent your persona. Thoughts? |

Seems like a waste, really. I'm kinda binary myself, 0 or 1, all or nothing. ;)
I'm for more smilies instead though. Gimme a couple of days and I'll work up some originals/unusuals for you.

Well, we don't have to call them "avatars". UBB for instance has the option to include an *image* in your profile: it can be whatever you please, a picture of yourself, your dog, a cheezy south park representation, anything.
Smilies I prefer to keep to a minimum. There's only so many actual emotions/reactions to represent. Anything beyond that is just fluff IMO. |

| OK I know this is old thread but I like the idea of avatars and I am registered on 5 retail forums and 5 other various forums and this one seems to be the only one without avatars and we can always upload from our computers too. | |
