Posted on the intranet this afternoon was the FACT that the new plan will be issued to your SGM's on or about 8/13/03 and will take effect on 9/14/03. If you want to know early the exact details you'll probably have to ask SearsMatrix-he ahs all the inside dope and answers-Heh Heh

Read it on HR Hotmail- looks like Home Electronics is about to get the FineJewelry/Footwear treatment.
If we lose our best D-57 salesfolks because of the "you earn too much" mentality at Hoffman, we are going to be in a sorry state come Christmas.

I dont think many of them are "earning too much" these days! I hope things get better for them....I would have taken a buy out in June if offered!

Being an mca, former footwear years ago, I don't hear now much about what's going on in footwear. So are they going non-commission now? What's the scoop?

Depending on the department volume they are either straight hourly or base + commission.

I think ours is base + commission, it used to be that way when I worked over there. Just sounded from conversations here that it was changing soon???

THey convenently fired 3 girls from our shoe dept . about 2-3 weeks ago, now there's only 1 person left...... The register will be removed and then she will be a cashier. Our shoe MCA and the other MCA's will handle customers after that.
I was on my break and was asked a shoe question already.

HarborQueen is their a link on this I have been off so I will check it out today. I really hope that they consider the work in selling in Electronics and the knowledge that the good associates have. Not to say that the majority of the teens they hire their do not last long on a nationwide basis

If you have any facts? How about a post or better yet, sent to my e-mail from X-COP-MTBG--Have only been working in BC since 85--am about ready to retire any time or maybe just work for a few more years, Thanks for the infromation in advance.ps--nothing would surprise me at this point and time.Maybe we should go back to old hourly rate plus 3 percent on all mdse. reach a real sales goal @ then double commission for the balance of year? And then the next year higher hour rate etc.

No I do not have a link..... It was just convenient , the girls getting fired and the shoe dept and jewerly losing commission .
At least one of the teens was a reliable person , I believed her.
