I'm from the Midwest.
Just found this board. Real shame no one writes on it. Could be fun.

Well.. if you're still out there Beenheretolong, I'm from the mid-west. There are several other more active boards out there for us Home Deponians, try MEETretailworkers.com, the HD board is comming along nicely and people are fairly upbeat about their jobs. The other retail workers site is more down than up, but if you can get on that one's ok too. It has alot more malcontents and trolls, but can be amusing in it's own way. Hope you see this!

Home Depot is fishing for workers here in Springfield Illinois but we don't have a store yet. Anyone know anything about it?

And then we came full circle....the first conversation Tigerlily and I had was concerning the state fairs....chunky spandex pants blondes wearing Taz shirts going down to their knees clamoring to the fried cheese booth only because the funnel cake booth line was too long, yelling at their mullet headed boyfriends in their wife beater shirts, because he didn't have enough tickets so they could both ride the tilt-a-whirl, without them damned kids hanging on to my leg. Has it been a year already? Happy Anniversary, Tiger.

You remembered!, That was a very funny thread. I think about it everytime some poor schmuk has been sent in to the paint counter by his wife to pick up a can of " Pretty as a Princess pink ", I always ask him if he's planning on painting his garage with it. For some reason, they never think that's funny...

The rason the Sears board is so active is that there is so much to complaine about with Sears. I should know I worked there and quit to come to HD best move I've made.

I'm really glad to hear that! I to QUIT Sears and just got a PT job with HD. I dearly hope they have NOTHING in common with each other. Well, other then the fact they sell stuff. Only time will tell.
