well, another manager over the age fifty, white male heard that this is the 5th one that the general manager of the dallas area has gotten rid of. Then heard that in dallas area that 2 ware house people (one a lead) got fired and stole $43,000.00 that they will admit to for over 2 years. And they ARE NOT going to procute them. Hummmmmm wonder why???got rid of a jewerly lead and put another lead into that postition and now he's having a fit because of it. Something is going on in this store.....but no one is talking. from moody64

I have been waiting for this. This is what Motorola did at the end of the six sigma process let all the high paying management go. Why would they not prosecute someone for that.

I know that but I think I know who he is referring to. We had two AP associates (one a lead) that were fired for stealing items from the warehouse and pawning them. Both were arrested and thrown in jail. Don't know what the sentences were, though.

Anymore managers fired? Has anyone else noticed alot of uptightness among the management field. In our store the last six weeks total walkthroughs two or three times a week. Lots of checking from headquarters. Just keep thinking any day one or two are going to go

What HQ needs to do is to show up unannounced. That, in itself, would do some wonders.

We have had a few outsiders (DM, DOM, and others) in our store during this week - but we just had a mini remodel in tools and they are in the midst of the mini remodel of mattresses, window treatments, etc. - the only tension I have observed is "No time to get it all done"

We've had unannounced visits from DM's, and DHR. Something's going on.

The stores in our local city had visitors from Chicago. He was in one store all day. Did not like the HA dept. Said that they did not want to make money, should be working at WalMart. Assoc. were told he was going to go thru their Blue books, but he did not even talk to them. Was told he was on PC looking at their ACES reports, and did not like what he saw.. hence his remark about Wal Mart.

It's good that they are showing up unannounced in some cases. We are always told when they are going to show, which to me, is bad. Management tends to go around with a hornet's nest up the ass and makes life miserable for us by making sure everything is clean, painted, and in order. If they showed up unannounced, the they would see what its really like for uss employees and management would have to start bending over more often.

Sears sold homelife itself to citibank, I thought. They are the ones that went bankrupt.
