Hello.. okay off the top of my head I can't remember how this works, and since I can't contact the store right now cause they are closed, well here's the scenario.. Say you find something online at an internet site you want to purchase, and it's a much cheaper then Sears.. it's brand new, not a closeout type of item they are liquidating or something like that.. Does Sears match it? Okay this website sells the multi-function computer printer/scanner/fax/copier I want for $209.99 brand new.. Sears sells it for $299.99. How does this work? I know in the register when you price match something and override the price and use the price match code, it brings up a bunch of retailers and what not and one is E-Commerce, but still.. Does shipping and handling have to be included in the total price, and is that what they'll match, will they match just the price, or will they not do it at all because of some exception.. this is a 100% exact merchandise item.. Also we got an associate night coming up.. can I get the extra 10% off there too? Any help is appreciated.. I have my own beliefs as to what I'm entitled to, but I'd like to know the proper way or what others have to say on this.. Thanks! :)

I am almost certain to price match the online store; the online store has to have a brick and mortar store in your area. Shipping and handling has to be added in for the final price. The warranty has to be identical. If these are all true then they could match the price but I think they have a list of whom you can and can not price match. Finally, yes if you get a price match than you are entailed to your 10% off. Hope this helps.

A price match will be made to the actuall cost of the item. You are responsible for s&h.

We were told by Management we do pricematch Sears com. Why not hit 56 Sears on the pricematch pay. You do not include shipping because you are picking it up that is crazy why would you include that

We should have done this in the first place. Here is the Price Match Plus Policy per Sears.com:

If you find a lower price on an identical branded item with the same features currently available for sale at another local retail store, Sears will match that price plus give you 10% of the difference. Just tell your sales associate at the time of, or within 30 days after, your purchase.

If you find a lower price (including shipping, handling and delivery) on an identical branded item with the same features currently available for sale and delivery in your area from a local retail store's online site, Sears will match that total price Plus, give you 10% of the difference. Just print the ordering page, including shipping, handling and delivery, and bring it to your Sears store at the time of, or within 30 days after, your purchase. If you are purchasing the item from sears.com, email the information to order@sears.com

Exclusions
Sears will not match competitors' bonus or free offers, special offers, rebates, financing offers, clearance or closeout prices, or prices on used, damaged, returned, open box or display merchandise, service contracts or automotive services, or installation, delivery, or assembly services. Sears will not match competitors' prices that result from a price match.

Sears Price Match Plus Policy does not apply to parts, Sears licensed partner websites, digital services, "Sears Presents" and Shop At Home catalogs.

Stores in Puerto Rico, Alaska and Hawaii will not match any online prices.

Well the Sears.com thing is messed up.. first it says LOCAL then at the bottom of it, it says "Stores in Puerto Rico, Alaska and Hawaii will not match any online prices." so that sort if makes me wonder what they are getting at.. ? I'm not talking about price matching sears.com either, I'm refering to another internet sales vendor..

Wondering what became of that 800 number????? It vanished like the lost sale key. The lost sale key is on the new registers but do not think it is activated

LOL, I wondered if anyone noticed the Lost Sale key disappeared a while back.

On Internet Price Match... You can only pricematch a website of a company who has a bricks and mortar location in YOUR LOCAL MARKET. You must include the cost of shipping and taxes in the price of the online item. Basically, the total of the shopping cart at the website right before you enter your Credit Card Number. The 800 number went the way of the dinosaurs because of the new rule about having a bricks and mortar location. It was simply there to confirm that websites were legit and not made up by a customer during the time when we were able to pricematch ANYTHING online except auctions and liquidations. Since most companies who have a clicks and motar presence sell their items for the same price in both locations, it'd be to your customer's advantage to just quote the in-store price to avoid the added cost of shipping. It's really a catch-22, you're never actually really matching an internet price unless the company offers a discount online that isn't offered in their store.

a lady came in to my department toda. she had purchased a weber gold c grill about two weeks ago. the sign on the grill was $599.99 and she had a printout from a website that was selling the grill for $539.00. she wanted a price match for it. so i asked her for her reciept. when i looked at the reciept i saw that she had only paid $539.99 for the damn grill.

i don't know if she realized this or not, but the printout was only 99 cents differant then the price that she actually paid. so i just politely said "oh no problem, i can't match that 99 cents plus an extra 10 percent of the differance." then i had to spend the next 2 minutes explaining to her the fact that she didn't pay $599.99

some customers are just too much fun
