In my department, we had our midyear reviews - we were told that the entire store received a 1 in credit apps and MPA's, etc. - now my question is: why am I graded on an aspect that I am not even involved in - even if I encourage and convince a customer to purchase the extend warranty or replacement agreement, I do not ring it in - the cashier rings it and get the credit - also, there are a couple of people who sell credit apps like it was a fire sale - it must have been a blanket statement, saying everyone received a 1 just to make us all feel bad and motivate us - I am a CSA - this is a greatly flawed ratings system - other than that, I received a great review

These blanket ratings are running rampet through the company. We, the AP people, are actually getting rated on Sales, Package Pickup Coupons, and other departments' issues that we have absolutely no control over. Since when are these things fair. It's happening across all departments, just as the CAC mentioned.

Yes realstuff - I am in tools - this week and next, we are experiencing an exodus of all the students - I have yet to see a replacement come in for them and they still keep cutting hours - our department looks better than it has since my 1st day, over 2 1/2 years ago - we even have back stock of the most popular items - but - we are located in a very depressed area - and the mall has many security items it must address - they don't want to account for the economy, high-crime areas, poor corporate direction, promoting employees based on personality and not performance, and on and on and on - it is all my fault the store has double digit decreases going on 4 years in a row - yes, that's right - it was my fault, long before I became a Sears associate
