Key Bank ATM's didn't allow you to overdraft if your account didn't have enough funds. You simply requested a lower amount until the machine spat forth cash. Then one day, Key removes the electronic overdraft protection and charges a fee of $35. Your complaint will be settled by splitting the fee and offering you the privilege of buying overdraft protection for another fee to be assessed annually. If you really raise hell, they will even offer to reset the system ATM to once again not allow an overdraft. Why do they remove the system overdraft safety switch to begin with? Fees, of course! Close the account. I did.
