I have been gripin for months to our sgm that price matching can't do a thing if you can't get the mdse. And it seems to be getting worse, at least in our store. 7 to 10 days to get a freezer, refrig or laundry. What gives?
Had cust say they would rather go to the other stores (Home Depot etc.) and pay a few dollars more to get it the same/or next day, and off they went.

The Tear Sheet cost Sears sales by saving the competition time & a price check even with that 10% difference and if the item isn't on sale Sears really looses because now the competition does not even have to cut into their margin that much if not at all in many cases.

Same story at our store, LOWE'S just five mins. down the roadgive the cust the tear sheet with Sears PRICES--GOES BACK to LOEW'S--cust comes back & says will beat our price match, go to tell them this is not a price war, also They have the mdse there & I dont. Cust needs to wait maybe one week or longer because we dont have SLS DELIVERY.
THAT's LIFE in the out back, I guess ?
PS. JUST WHAT IS SEARS POLICY FOR THE BIDDING WAR ? & HOW DO YOU PRICE MATCH DELIVERY COSTS.
Can you people still request time stop requests deliveries ? our delivery people will not accept requests even if the cust pays a double delivery charge.

company as big as sears can not get product , takes them three days . if a refrigerator is out, most cases they want to take it , and if t hey want del they want it the next day. and even if sears can get it there next day, but no sears delivery is so bad they would destroy the product the house the yard the customers trees the indside of the house, the cat and whatever they can get too. then the next day all you hear is a customer screaming in your ear saying where do you get these drivers from the junk wars. whats the deal sears. lacy get off your butt and make a move.
