Ex Home Depot exec in kickback scheme with vendors.Coded the payoffs french fries. This crap probably goes on in almost all companys but in a numbers driven sick sigma management regime like Bob Nardelli this stuff can flourish-because that's all you have to do is produce the numbers.

Be curious to know which vendor and what merchandise is in question here.

Found out the kickbacks involved FLOORING buyers http://www.ajc.com/business/content/business/stories/2008/05/29/home_depot_court.html .A Ronald Johnston a flooring buyer and a James Robinson a carpeting or rug buyer. And the guy in the conviction got fired by HD and yet still had these guys work for him with the buyers.

Wonder who got the better end of the deal in quality and price-the customer or Home Depot. The vendor apparently made out but what about the rest.

Apparently this scam got so big, elaborate and/or profitable that the original Tesvich guy actually set up a company just to do business with the vendors and payoff his insiders.

http://www.ajc.com/business/content/printedition/2008/06/13/homedepot.html

This Robinson guy handled over 600K in 'payoffs',wound up with 2 investment homes,an Infinity and a Escalade. His specialty was tile flooring.

Man,after this won't even be able to accept a refrigerator magnet from a vendor.
