I've only been working for Lowes for about a month and at a brand new store. Talking with some of the co-workers coming from other Lowes stores, I was kind of confused about how many had been team leaders, department managers and zone managers in the past. Of course I'm wondering why? The way each person talks about this, it doesnt come across as anything BAD happened and just some normal way Lowes operates. Of course I dont want to ask more in depth in case that wasn't the case. I'm hoping someone could shed some light on the subject as to why many people seem to go up and down on a regular basis. Thanks !!!

Demotion isn't all too common.

We had zone manager come to our store for only about a month. He was formerly a store manager at another local store but apparently got in trouble for something. He was very professional and seemed nice during his short stay, but found a job outside the company.

A zone manager at my store stepped down to PSA department manager when the position was created. He preferred the schedule.
