This is form Consumerist but I've gotten stuff like it myself on numerous occasions so it's not uncommon.

The Craftsman Club has become one of the most useless discounts in retail.Basically it's nothing more than an exclusive flyer.Loaded with exclusions and contradictions.

And the mailed after date has been going on for years.-please see store manager if you didn't get-wow,you get to be subjected to store management.

It should be a straight 10-15% off ANY Craftsman tool period. And if they really want to make it worth something 10% off year round-a Craftsman discount card.Notice they call it the Craftsman Club and not a Craftsman discount card.

Sears error rate has been inexcusably bad for as long as I've been involved. 30 years of stupid mistakes and they can't even figure out the value of proofreading. But proofreading is a cost and the resulting problems don't show up on the income statement (except as sales declines) so no one is motivated to care.

Actually, SHC sends out expired coupons weekly to anyone whom submits their email at sears.com or kmart.com between 10:00 pm Saturdays and 12:00 pm on Mondays. The coupons that are sent to the registered email address always expire on the nearest Saturday, which generally is the very day the individual placed his/her email on the mailing list or is one or two days before. I brought this matter to the online customer no-service's attention several times, but they continue to send out the $5 in-store coupons that expired the previous Saturday to someone whom registers their email two days later.
