Spent a whole 6 weeks cashiering....
It's the toughest job because the asshole customers take out all their grief on the cashiers whether the cashier is able to solve their problems or not.
The pay sucks - it will be whatever the state min wage is. Here in Washington, you are allowed to pay 16 year olds even less then the state min wage, so we "coincidentally" have mostly 16 year old cashiers.
My best advice is to leave Sears all together and never look back - but if you must stay there, avoid being a cashier if at all possible.

yes, i am a cashier. it gets old. pay is not that good. you put up with a lot of crap like waiting around for managers for approvals and getting credit apps. you don't get good raises either...10 cents is actually pretty good if you can get it once a year. only good thing is they are flexible but so are a lot of other places. if i were you, i'd apply elsewhere.
