| It is interesting re-readling thils article almost two months down the road... American Express announced a layoff of 7000 jobs yesterday and they weren't even on this list. Still no word from Macy's on possible store closings after the holiday season. I can't imagine how they will be able to continue operating so many stores without drastic measures. | |

| I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Either way, if Macy's is desperate they can always merger with Wal-Mart since they are heading in that direction anyway. | |
