I'm giving thought to leaving Sears after 13 years to pursue sales (appliances) at Lowes.

In short, what has been the Lowes managements views of hiring Sears sales persons?

I don't think that it matters where you come from to work at Lowe's. Don't be surprised though if you have lots of people in the store that hate the fact that you were hired when there were eligible people to fill that coveted appliance opening.

Go for it! In your interview just tell them that you want to work for a GROWING company not a DIEING one.

I understand that others in the store would want that position in appl's but when you have a seasoned sales leader and veteran in aplliances then that might make others understand why they were skipped.

You can't argue with the money I can generate nor the experience I would bring with me.

I've forgotten more about appl's than most could learn in the next 10 years.

As for any "hater's" - well, they'll get over it !

I can understand people's frustration over having an outside person picked for a job over them, but they need to get over it, and trust the manager's choice that will best benefit the store.
