They are handing over the detail of 4450 accounts. Amazingly a number of those accounts have been closed
The sleezy part of it for UBS is that thier "bankers" actually recommended, then showed some American clients how to play "hide the money from the tax man."
Guess who is Vice Chairman of the Investment Bank Division at UBS...... Phil Gramm UBS.com states that a Vice Chairman of a UBS division is "...appointed to support the business in their relationships with key clients." I wonder how deep into this business Gramm was. It would make my millenia if the Government somehow nailed that bastard. It'll never happen as someone in the government will find a way to protect him (more than likely in a case of c.y.a.). One can dream though.

As I've posted here before... if there isn't a law by which Phil Gramm can be prosecuted for his part in the "hide the profit" game, then we need to pass one and make it retroactive to whenever it was that SOB was first elected to office.
We'll never know exactly what he did or didn't do but in the absence of anything you can see, personal opinion based what you can smell has to suffice and for me, Gramm fairly reeks of graft and corruption.
