should be posted in the break room. Don't call the open door policy though. It does not go to lowes corporate. It goes to a 3rd party who then relays the information to Lowes. Trying to keep corporate honest in the complaints and get them resolved.

Thanks Leavinglowes.
They have been jerkin me around about gettin back on the schedule for the last week and a half after being released from my medical leave.
So, i want to make a call and make some complaints about my SM and HRM cause they are the ones who are jerkin me around....
If you want to know the full story, I'd be more than happy to fill you in.

Does that surprise you? They will do anything to save from having to pay for insurance or payroll. Lowes management system is a bastard child of higher low lifes....think about it for one second. If it wasnt for the stuck Upper management trying to save a buck to get their fat bonus checks you would still be working. But now someone else will benefit from your loss.
And the lowes cycle continues.........Hasnt changed and will never change. Sorry to hear you got layed off but you and I both know that it is for the best.....Hell look on the bright side.. Now you can tell others from my point of view how lowes will bend you over, screw you, break you down, spit you out and hire some other willing fool to replace you.
Congratulations!

I'm happy about being outta that place....It's definately for the best. Their claim for laying me off was that the store isn't doing so well, so they are having to cut hours. All part-timers are cut down to 10 hrs a week, and they are making a lot of full-timers, part time. great management there!
Since they layed me off, looks like I'm going to file for unemployment.

...and does it surprise anyone that there are always those few associates mixed in with the rest of the hard-working population. Those few who have to make waves any chance they get. Those who feel that they're owed something for gracing their presence in the store. Those who think they're the hardest working associate in the store, but are really just the hardest working at finding the easiest way to collect a paycheck. Those same people who need something to bitch about and refuse to change their situation, but when they do, still can't move on and focus on their present and future. They dwell on the past because their life isn't complete without some sort of weird angst. DISCLAIMER: ...by the way, this wasn't directed at any one person in particular...but towards the small group with the traits indicated....

I take this post as personally directed to myself......You don't know how hard I worked for Lowes. You don't get 4.5million in sales over 5 1/2 years by sitting on your ass or finding the easiest way to get a paycheck.

Yep. If you think that post was directed at you, you obviously think the world revolves around you. I made the same general disclaimer you often do that I was not referring to any one person in particular, but speaking an opinion about a small group of people either currently in, or formally in, the Lowe's culture. You've got a big head, over-sized ego or what-ever if you think I was referring to you specifically....

wow issuestoo...talk about gettin off topic. this topic wasnt about who works hard and who doesn't work at all, or for any of the other B.S. that you brought up.
It was simply about how Lowe's was jerking me around about coming back to work, and thier bogus reasons as to why they couldn't bring me back and let me go.
Personally, I'm happy about gettin out of that god forsaken hell hole. I've been back in a few times to talk to friends that I have that still work there, and every one of them (specialists, DM's, and ZM's) INCLUDED all said that I got out at the right time. things have only gotten worse and aren't looking like they will get better any time soon.
Next time, try staying on topic..

Frosty...I too visited my old store a few weeks ago and some of my friends who are still there were saying the same thing. One person was full time and Lowes cut him to less than 10 hours per week....how can anyone raise a family and pay bills on 10 hours a week. Can't happen. Lowes knows it. they expect the employees to cut themselves and quit. Its a vicious cycle that happens every year in the lowes world. Wish there was some type of union like program where employees could go on strike instead of dealing with the political bullshit that takes place in the stores.
Also frosty....congrats....

I never said that you were the only one who gets off topic, did I? nope... just simply stated that the thread i started went way off topic, and you were the one that caused it. thats all...so don't get all worked up about it

so, since you consider yourself a non-basher, does that make you Lowe's brown-noser?

Showing support for the company one works for doesn't mean they're a brown noser. There are people in this world who don't feel the need to blame everyone else for their problems. There are people who aren't afraid to accept responsibility for their own actions. Some of us have enough common sense to realize the world doesn't revolve around us....

wow man, you must really be in love with yourself and your job. did anyone on here say that they are afraid to accept responsibility for their actions? nope...and did anyone say that the world should or does revolve around them? nope Just cause you are not a Lowe's basher, it doesn't mean other people can't be.
